A compassionate space to slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and gently reconnect with yourself.
Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from who we are.
Perhaps you’ve been carrying things on your own for a long time. Perhaps you feel stuck in patterns that no longer make sense to you. Or maybe you’re simply tired of surviving and longing to feel more grounded, calm, and connected within yourself again.
You do not need to be in crisis to reach out for support.
Therapy can offer a space to pause, breathe, feel heard, and begin understanding yourself with greater compassion rather than judgment.
At The Ease Project, I offer an integrative and trauma-informed approach that brings together counselling, EMDR, nervous system awareness, somatic approaches, mindfulness, and holistic wellbeing practices to support healing through both the mind and body.
Sometimes emotional pain lives not only in our thoughts, but in our nervous system, our body, our relationships, and the way we move through the world.
You may notice this as:
anxiety that feels hard to switch off
emotional overwhelm
feeling constantly “on edge”
disconnection from yourself or others
difficulty resting or relaxing
feeling emotionally stuck
carrying the weight of past experiences
Together, we create space to gently explore what’s happening, at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you.
My role is not to tell you what to do. It’s to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and care as we begin making sense of your experiences and supporting your nervous system in finding greater safety, regulation, and ease.

A compassionate and confidential space to explore whatever may be weighing on you. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck or overwhelmed, therapy offers space to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and reconnect with yourself with greater understanding and self-compassion.
EMDR is a gentle and effective approach that can help process trauma, distressing memories, and experiences that still feel emotionally present or unresolved. It can support the brain and body in processing what feels “stuck,” helping to reduce emotional intensity and create space for healing and change.
Sometimes our experiences live not only in our thoughts, but also within the body and nervous system. These sessions integrate body-based approaches, nervous system awareness, mindfulness, breathwork, and gentle practices to support grounding, regulation, self-awareness, and a deeper connection with yourself.
Private sessions, small groups, workshops, and wellbeing experiences that bring together movement, breath, mindfulness, and self-care practices. These sessions are designed to support balance, relaxation, emotional wellbeing, and a gentler relationship with yourself.
A reflective, supportive, and collaborative space for counsellors, trainees, and helping professionals. Supervision offers space to think together, nurture your practice, support your wellbeing, and encourage both personal and professional growth.

I’m Rukhsana, a BACP Accredited counsellor, EMDR therapist, clinical supervisor, and integrative wellbeing practitioner.
My work is rooted in compassion, relationship, and the belief that healing happens when we feel safe enough to be fully human.
Alongside counselling and trauma therapy, I integrate body-based and nervous system-informed approaches, including mindfulness, somatic work, breathwork, and yoga. I work both top-down (through thoughts, emotions, and understanding) and bottom-up (through the body, nervous system, and regulation), recognising that healing often involves more than words alone.
Above all, I aim to offer a space where you can slow down, feel supported, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels grounded, gentle, and authentic to you.
I offer a free 15-minute introductory call where we can talk about what’s bringing you here and explore whether working together feels right for you.
There’s no pressure, just space to connect and see what support might feel most helpful.
